Stretch on the Beach is our seasonal 45-minute outdoor class, running from July through to the end of September. Blending gentle stretching techniques with restorative yin yoga, each session is designed to improve flexibility, release tension, and help you feel calmer and more refreshed.
Held on the beautiful lakeside beach in Chertsey, this class offers the chance to enjoy mindful movement in a peaceful outdoor setting while making the most of the summer months. Suitable for all levels, it’s the perfect way to unwind, whether you’re looking to complement your fitness routine or simply carve out some time for yourself.
Please bring your own yoga mat and a cushion or pillow for comfort during seated and lying stretches. A small number of mats are available to borrow, so if you need one, please let us know on info@surreymassagestudio.com.
What to Wear
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and stretch easily. Layers are recommended so you can stay comfortable throughout the session, and don’t forget sunscreen or a hat on warmer days.
What to Bring
Please bring:
- Your own yoga mat
- A cushion or pillow for added comfort during seated and lying stretches
- A bottle of water to stay hydrated
A limited number of yoga mats are available to borrow, so please let us know when booking if you need one. Please note that cushions are not provided.

After your class, enjoy a complimentary soft drink from the bar at Thorpe Lakes—the perfect way to relax and make the most of your visit.
Getting Here
Parking is available in the Thorpe Lakes car park. From there, walk over the bridge and turn left at the end, following the path towards the beach where the class takes place.
Wet Weather
Stretch on the Beach runs from July through to the end of September. For selected dates between 2–23 July and 30 August–24 September, an indoor option is available if needed due to wet weather. If plans need to change, all booked participants will be notified in advance.
